Yeah you heard me, this is a World Exclusive post for Burnout Paradise.
Well, at least in my little world I like to call PAYBACKclan.com that is.
As I posted in another thread, the Burnout Team decided to reveal some killer news in their live video podcast today instead of playing with and speaking with yours truly.
So, here it is, here's the news they wanted to share with everyone.
Motor Cycles will make an appearance in Paradise! Bikes have never been a part of Burnout and now they are going to be. Another bit of info is that because so many people have requested it, there is also going to be night time driving in Paradise as well.
They are still toying with both the bikes and the darkness so they're not 100% sure exactly what they're going to have included with these two new GAME CHANGING CONTENT (GCC) items, but they wanted to share them with everyone and to let them know they are coming.
These will actually be a part of the first paid for content brought to you by Burnout, so as they said, when they ask you to pay for something, it's going to be something BIG, and this is pretty fuckin' big for the Burnout franchise.
This update is currently planned for release at the end of June, and is codenamed Davis, after Betty Davis. The other two GCC releases are and will be called Bogart and Cagney. Bogart is set to hit shelves tomorrow in the PSN Update and Cagney will likely follow next month.
In general terms, Bogart fixes a few issues and Cagney will include the race modes online.
In a last little bit of a teaser they revealed one final item. They also prefaced this with they're not sure if this is ever going to make it into the game, but they thought it was cool and wanted to share it with everyone. While trying to come up with ways to make Burnout Paradise a completely new game with their, "A Year in Paradise" where they will transform the game, they came up with something TOTALLY insane and new to the Burnout world.
What is it? Well, it's AIRPLANES!!! It was really amazing to look at the beautiful open world of Paradise City from an aerial view and it bring a whole mess of challenges they're working on.
So, it's cool and they said they were going to put out some hi-def vids later this week of gameplay with the bikes, night time, and the planes, so stay tuned!
Yes, folks it's real. SXE and I caught it live at about 1 AM EST last night. Nothing on the blog, but there is new content confirmed for at least SSHD as per SXE.
